Responsibilities:
• Leading the strategic engineering efforts and overseeing the
• development and implementation of objectives, programs, procedures and initiatives for the engineering department;
• Directing the engineering department activities including design, drafting, critical analysis, testing, evaluation, product research and development;
• Monitoring results to drive timely design delivery, project management, cost control and customer satisfaction results;
• Establishing department objectives and overall performance standards including motivating, coaching and developing employees;
• Leading a team of engineers and developers through multiple projects;
• Promoting a collaborative and open communication work environment.
• 10+ years of design engineering experience at a custom component manufacturing company;
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing a team to accomplish business goals;
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering processes, quality standards and design methodologies;
• Project Management and ability to hold people accountable;
• SolidWorks, 3D CAD, new product development, custom designs, manufacturing ERP system, ISO:9001, MS Office applications;
• Ability to think and operate at both strategic and tactical levels;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Occasional travel will be required.
