Responsibilities:
• Providing design and technical support to Manufacturing, Engineering, and the Tool Shop for the building of quality injection molds;
• Supervising the approval, start-up, build, and tryout of production tooling;
• Reviewing new product designs and developing quotes for tool construction;
• Reviewing Mold Spec Sheets with the Tool Shop and outside tooling vendor;
• Supervising Engineering changes and major tool repairs;
• Traveling to locations for on-site follow up and tool tryouts;
• Maintaining the tooling information in the Master Mold list and other documents;
• Creating Weekly Tool Progress Reports;
• Training and coaching junior tooling engineers.
• 6+ years of related manufacturing experience with a 4-year degree;
• 8+ years of related manufacturing experience with a 2-year degree;
• 2+ years in a senior or lead role;
• Leadership and coaching skills;
• Technical writing, problem solving, analytical, planning, and project management skills;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
