Description: 

Successful and innovative automotive industry supplier experiencing growth!  

Responsibilities:
• Reviewing product designs for tool construction;
• Reviewing mold spec sheets with the Lead Plant Tool Engineer and the tool vendor;
• Designing and developing production tooling to support the manufacturing process;
• Traveling to tooling vendors for onsite follow up and tool tryouts;
• Oversees pre-production Engineering changes;
• Maintaining and entering information on the Master Mold list;
• Creating weekly tool progress reports and maintaining steel certifications, CMM checks, process sheets;
• Staying current on state of the art tooling and processes.

Experience: 

• Entry level candidates will be considered with a 4-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related disciplines;
• 4+ years of related experience with 2-year degree in tool and die technology;
• 2+ years of related experience and Journeymen Tool/Die Maker;
• Experience in injection molding is a plus;
• Automotive industry experience is a plus;
• Analytical, problem-solving, organizational and planning skills;
• Technical writing skills;
• Organizational, planning and computer skills (MS Office);
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
