Responsibilities:
• Providing support and assistance in the repair and maintenance of tooling used by the companies suppliers for plastic components parts, metal stampings, rubber, aluminum/zinc die cast, fasteners or other materials;
• Supplying Purchasing with tooling requirements and quotes for approval;
• Working with the buyer to obtain at least three quotes for new tooling requirements;
• Working with the buyer and Supplier Quality Engineering during startup of tooling through ISIR approval;
• Some travel to suppliers may be required.
• 2+ years of experience in mold and die making fabrication;
• Supplier Tooling Engineering experience preferred within the automotive industry;
• Experience in a JIT manufacturing environment preferred;
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control techniques;
• Knowledge and understanding of materials and compositions;
• Analytical and problem solving skills;
• Technical, math, organizational and planning skills;
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
