Responsibilities:
• Leading and motivating the Process Engineering Group including product line engineers and engineering technicians;
• Providing daily leadership to ensure that process technology, design, capability and reliability continually improves;
• Project planning and budgeting, accountability and control including reduction of operational costs, improving throughput, troubleshooting and resolving barriers to meet performance objectives;
• Enabling manufacture of products through proper design, change, updating of product cost routings and cost estimates;
• Evaluation of product cost standards and standards recosting working with the Controller;
• Team building, talent and skill development, goal setting, performance evaluations, and active participation in FMDS, OMDS, QOS, and Fast Response meetings.
• 5+ years of experience in an automotive industry manufacturing environment;
• Supervisory experience required;
• Working knowledge of APQP and TS16949 Quality System;
• Metal machining, heat treat, close tolerance assembly manufacturing;
• 5 Why, 8D,PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
