Responsibilities:
• Directing and motivating Manufacturing Engineering (up to 10 direct reports) to ensure process technology, design, capability and reliability continually improve;
• Developing and implementing long term strategic business plans and budgets;
• Supporting the Lean, PPI and QC Circle activities;
• Major and Capital Project planning including scheduling and coordinating detailed project launches, funding approval and budgeting;
• Leading engineers and technicians in the design process and providing hands-on management for the technical portion of a product development project;
• Responsibility for Heat Treatment Department and Metallurgy Lab including high risk, highly technical operations of metallurgical heat treatment of plant products and components.
• 7+ years management level experience in engineering or manufacturing;
• 10+ total years of manufacturing or engineering experience;
• Knowledge of automotive quality systems and requirements;
• Knowledge of metalworking operations, including stamping, heat treat, grinding, finishing, and assembly processes;
• Lean and 5S techniques;
• Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills.

4-year degree required in Mechanical Engineering; graduate degree is a plus.
